2020 has been challenge
As a business owner in the UK, 2020 has been a challenge to say the least.
On a more positive note, we have adapted and i have personally learnt a lot this year.
A further lockdown seems close and it is frustrating to see businesses being forced to close in some parts of the UK.
I wanted to share some points that have helped me through this year so far;
Relationships
Build trust and friendship with your best customers.
Keep an ongoing dialogue of communication, understand their needs, be understanding and flexible.
Finance
The first lockdown allowed me to access where we overspend. Look at your outgoings, access whats necessary and whats a luxury.
Selling assets is a quick and easy way to free up cash.
Interest rates look set to be historically low going into 2021, lending has never been so attractive. Evolution
Clients needs are changing.
Being agile enough to try new services, partnerships and agreements.
Evolving from the old model to a new flexible model.
Time
Don’t be a busy fool! Work smart Having a structured day and a clear to do list set out each day. Asking myself what have i achieved today.
Set weekly, monthly & quarterly goals.
Work life balance, take time to switch off!
